2023 Domaine de la Vougeraie Vougeot 'Clos de Prieuré' Monopole

The 2023 Vougeot Le Clos de Prieuré has a fragrant nose with rose petals and dark chocolate scents that infuse the red berry fruit. There is fine lift and delineation here. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, pretty red berry fruit and a little more frisson than the preceding entry-level reds. Though not persistent on the finish, it conveys a sense of joie-de-vivre.
