2020 PNV Pride Mountain Cabernet "Summit Select"

The 2020 vintage was defined by two wildfires: the LNU Complex and the Glass Fire. While these fires resulted in significant losses of grapes for nearly all Napa Valley wineries, some delicious wines were produced from vineyards located far away or harvested prior to the Glass Fire. At Pride Mountain Vineyards, about 60% of our grapes fell into this latter category, and while our production has been dramatically lower than we would like, we are very excited about the quality of the wine. We offer five cases of Cabernet Sauvignon from the vineyard block that we typically use for Premiere Napa Valley, one of the highest elevation blocks in our Rock Arch Vineyard, which we harvested on September 25, two days prior to the Glass Fire. This dense, luscious and expressive wine gives a hint towards what the 2020 vintage should have been, and we are proud to share it.
