2016 Faust Salvation

Salvation is a limited release red wine produced by the winemaking team behind Faust. Intrigued with making a red blend in the same style as Faust Cabernet, winemaker David Jelenick and General Manager Jen Beloz blended Syrah and Merlot from our estate Coombsville vineyard with Cabernet Sauvignon from mountainside vineyards on Atlas Peak and Howell Mountain. David and Jen aged Salvation for 22 months in 30% new French Oak and produced just 755 cases. The wine begins with notes of baking spices and cocoa powder, with opulent aromas of star anise and forest floor. The lush palate is framed by notes of blackberry and cherry, with a supple structure and elegant finish.
