Presented in its natural color, this 1940 vintage opens with a deeply expressive nose of dark chocolate‑coated ginger, sticky dates, and supple leather, layered with antique oak and subtle hints of coffee. The palate unfolds with charred pineapple and baked peach, joined by crystallized ginger, aniseed, and blackberry jam, all framed by notes of woodsmoke, resin, and caramelized sugar. The finish is exceptionally long and composed, leaving a lasting impression of dark chocolate and gently toasted oak.
