Highland Park’s oldest release to date is intensely rich, sweet and complex. Intriguing aromas of lychee, aromatic camphor, vintage oak and delicate peat are followed by exquisitely balanced notes of crushed cumin and coriander seeds, summer rose and jasmine, honeyed kiwi fruit and pistachio biscotti. Expertly crafted from 10 refill casks, laid down in 1968 and tipped into first-fill sherry seasoned casks in 2008 for a further 14 years of slow maturation, only 225 bottles of this extraordinarily rare whisky have been released to mark Highland Park’s 225-year production history.
