2024 Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru Cuvée Ste. Catherine

The 2024 Riesling Cuvée Ste. Catherine Schlossberg Grand Cru is shy on the nose but opens with slight aloe creaminess and lovely lemon balm. The palate is beautifully straight-laced, absolutely ripe, stony, bright and complete. This is wonderfully juicy and ripe, the vindication of the Schlossberg, the performance of this steep, well-drained site in a wet year, the total proof of concept. It stands ripe, taut and fresh but with rounded Mirabelle juiciness. This certainly was not effortless but it tastes as if it was. (Bone-dry)
