2024 Domaine des Lambrays Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "La Richemone"

95 POINTS: The opulent floral and ripe black cherry aromas are sensual and very prominent; winemaker Jacques Devauges qualifies them as ‘candied fruit and bitter orange’. The texture is silky, and yet there is density here. Although this parcel is in Nuits, it leans hard to the Vosne side of the village. The tiny 12hl/ha yields gave only three barrels in 2024, but it is worth seeking out. Try this in three to five years to enjoy the freshness of the fruit in its youth.
