The 2024 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is a debut release from a 0.31-hectare parcel close to the folly that used to be farmed by Jean-Pierre Guyon, purportedly the oldest vines in the clos (although unproven). The vines are Pinot Fin. With 40% whole bunch it has a very attractive nose with brambly red fruit, rooibos, rose petal and crushed stone. The palate has an attractive mineralité, poised and tender with quite a persistent finish. This is a very promising debut and it will be interesting to see how future vintages turn out.Neal Martin, Vinous
