2023 Caterwaul Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford

96 POINTS: A new cuvée from the Wilsey Vineyard, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford sports a deep purple hue as well as a brilliant nose of ripe, chocolaty dark fruits, spice, and loamy earth. It's full-bodied, deep, rich, pure, and polished, with excellent balance, ripe tannins, nicely integrated oak, and a great finish. I love it today yet see no reason it shouldn't evolve for 15-20 years. Drink 2025-2040.
