98 POINTS: Beautiful currants, hints of cassis, crushed stone, and chocolate emerge from the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Phelan Ranch Vineyard, along with a certain scorched earth, Graves-like character that emerges with time in the glass. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and concentrated, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, beautiful yet big tannins, and a great finish. It's up there with the finest wines I've tasted from this relatively new, yet undeniably promising vineyard. Give it 3-5 years if you can, and it should keep for 20 years or more. Drink 2028-2048.
