2021 Sanford Chardonnay La Rinconada

The 2021 Chardonnay La Rinconada Vineyard derives from blocks planted between those supplying the La Entrada and Long Rows bottlings. Initially shy on the nose, it offers up delicate, pure aromas of white flowers, graham crackers, baker's yeast and a core of golden-yellow orchard fruits before steadily increasing in volume and dimension with aeration. The palate is plush and focused, showcasing both a bass-heavy textural richness and a lifted, mineral-tinged treble cut that runs through and energizes the finish.
