James Suckling Score98After skipping the 2019 and 2020 vintages, this new Stonecreek makes up for the long wait. It is deep in color, with very dense, concentrated aromas of black fruit, oak spices, hints of pine forest and turned earth, then saturated black cherries, sour cherries, blueberries and mint on the palate. Quite firm but fine-grained tannins and good, fresh acidity structure it for a long life. From a small block of vines underlain by vesicular basalt. Best from 2028.Jim Gordon, jamessuckling.com
