One of the standouts in the vintage is the 2014 Gigondas le Pas de l'Aigle Grand Reserve. The top wine for this estate and a blend of 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah, it comes from a single Northwest facing hillside that lies at an elevation of 400 meters. Aged 24 months in oak casks, it shows the elegant style of the vintage and has plenty of fruit to go with lots of dried spice, incense, flowers, black raspberries and plum-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, layered and with fine tannin, it should be a beautiful Gigondas and drink well for a decade.Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate
