TOP VALUES OF BORDEAUX 2025
BORDEAUX, FRANCE
Remember when Bordeaux was your go-to for everyday drinking? Neither do we. But that’s exactly what makes this new marketplace so irresistible. We’ve unearthed six wines that bring back those glory days – six wines that deliver authentic Bordeaux character and complexity, and all for less than $35 a bottle.
The star of the show? Château Les Clottiers 2021, a steal of a 95-pointer at less than $27. "Fresh and alluring," Decanter wrote, praising its "ample, rich, inky fruit," "finely-grained tannins,” and “long, super satisfying finish."
But there’s more where that came from. La Dauphine 2019 hits similar heights – Neal Martin of Vinous fell for its "pure blackberry and boysenberry" character and "unerring sense of symmetry,” and so did we. Likewise, we found the Vieux Château Palon 2020 impossible not to fall for. The Wine Cellar Insider called it a “ready-to-go, well-priced charmer [that[ already offers its licorice, cherry, and chocolate character with just a swirl or two. You can enjoy this with pleasure on release and for at least 10-12 years after that.” If hedonistic opulence is out of reach at this price point, La Rose Perriere 2020 surprised and wowed us with its elegance, richness, and length. The Wine Advocate extolled it for both its "beautiful harmony" and silky texture.
Whether you're got some special dinners in your future or just want something reliably wonderful on hand for any night of the week, it’s hard to beat the quality and value these wines represent.
Each is available by the case only, so think about laying in for two or even three — giving yourself a healthy stock of liquid happiness for all the good times ahead.
But act now; at these prices, we don’t expect these to stick around for long!
