THE LAST DROP MARKETPLACE
They don't get more ultra-rare or more bespoke than these, folks: 9 jaw-droppingly great expressions from The Last Drop Assembly, a consortium of six of the finest distillers, blenders, and all-around palates in the business.
Marrying art and science like none other, the Assembly has tapped its vast network of industry sources to unearth hitherto unknown barrels and casks, from which they have crafted some of the most talked-about, most-coveted whiskeys, bourbons, rums, and tequilas in the world. And yes, some of the rarest.
Here’s a mind-boggling fact for you: in the 17 years since they formed, in 2008, they have released a total of just under 16,000 bottles.
Every single one of them has been an absolute stunner, and their latest series to, uh, drop – Release Nos. 32-40, which we've managed to secure small allocations of – is a certifiable event, studded with pinnacle expressions of uncommon depth, distinction, and maturity.
This is as elite as elite gets, folks.

#32: 32 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey (92.8 proof)
(And please note: All of these are available in 700ml & 50ml formats, which makes it super easy to try these without cracking open a full bottle.)
Having had the great good fortune of tasting through these, we can report that drinking them is like returning to a great painting, and finding new tonalities, new colorations, new details.
The Buffalo Trace bourbon showcases innovative aging experiments that only America's most adventurous distilleries dare attempt, while the dual Tomintoul releases demonstrate how the same distillery can create completely different expressions through varied cask programs. The Japanese blended malt represents time-honored distilling artistry at its pinnacle, and the Infinitum rum takes you on a journey through multiple countries and distillation methods.
What sets this collection apart (beyond the obvious rarity and age statements, that is) are the Assembly’s exceptionally high (and obsessive) standards, which make the word “exacting" feel somehow understated.
Master Blender Drew Mayville neglects to divulge the details of their rigorous behind-the-scenes process, though he will say, slyly: "It goes beyond curating and finding the right barrels.”
I wish I could report that we have ample quantities to go around, but unfortunately our allocations are extremely limited, so best to jump on these bottles NOW.
And, truly: prepare to be astonished.
