Whether from a legendary estate or a cult producer, a trusted vet or a dazzling newcomer, these are wines that honor both tradition and terroir, and that will bring deep pleasure now and for years to come.
Among the many treasures, you'll find:
• the 2017 Château Pedesclaux from Pauillac, which Wine Enthusiast, in a 95-point rave, called a "generous wine" that "revels in its ripe Cabernet Sauvignon," and whose "firm tannins [are] already fully integrated into the ripe blackberry fruit notes"
• the 2019 Château de Lamarque Haut-Médoc, which James Suckling, in a 95-point love letter, called "the best Lamarque ever" wine with a "Pretty finish with plenty of energy and intensity”
• the 2019 Château Dalem from Fronsac, which Vinous awarded 94 points, gushing over its "almost Burgundian purity" – "The palate is beautifully proportioned and quite saline, with fine tannins and an almost pixelated finish, which delivers superb grip and density"
