BORDEAUX COLLECTOR'S MARKETPLACE
BORDEAUX, FRANCE
If I told you that we've assembled 11 of the greatest wines this century — 6 100-pointers and 5 99-pointers — the last thing you might expect me to talk about next is dollars off. But that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I'm thrilled to be able to extend savings to you of up to $50 a bottle on these legendary wines!
Before I get to the specs that are sure to make you salivate, I need to tell you that these are wines of pristine provenance, and coming to you direct from their estates in Bordeaux.
And what a roll call of greatness it is: Lynch-Bages, Pontet-Canet, Montrose, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, and more.
And the vintages — 2010, 2016, and 2020: epic classes that will be discussed with reverence for generations to come.
The oldest wine in this collection is Pontet-Canet's magnificent 2010 – a wine that caused The Wine Advocate to dispense with its usual critical distance and exclaim “Whoa.” We share the sentiment wholeheartedly. Its epic length and depth remind us why this vintage remains a benchmark.
But there is, truly, no end of greatness here.
Smith Haut Lafitte's 2016 proves why Decanter called it "pure perfection in a glass," delivering that rare combination of energy and classical structure that marks the greatest vintages. Les Carmes Haut-Brion's 2020, as Decanter noted, is a wine of "flawless texture" and immense depth. And Pape Clement's white? Dunnuck nailed it: it's absolutely "one of the whites of the vintage," showing that magical combination of freshness and richness that marks the truly great white Bordeaux.
The 2020 vintage predominates, and for good reason. From St-Julien to Pomerol, these wines showcase why this year stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the greatest of our time. Jeb Dunnuck was spot-on when he declared the 2020 Ducru Beaucaillou "another legendary" wine in the making, with its "incredible purity" and "awesome length." The Wine Advocate's assessment of 2020 Montrose as potentially the estate's finest vintage of recent decades rings absolutely true – we were struck, as well, by its seamless profile and those gorgeously powdery tannins.
And folks, no less remarkable are the five 99 pointers we’ve assembled – wines that in any other context would dominate the conversation: three consecutive vintages of majestic Pichon Baron (2018-2020), a profound Lynch Bages 2020, and a Cos d'Estournel 2019 of deep, sensual pleasure.
A collection of this caliber surfaces rarely. These are wines for the ages — though we surely wouldn't blame anyone who sneaks an early taste of greatness to come. Secure your bottles today!
