The Story: When Buffalo Trace discovered that its 2000 vintage whiskey showed incredible balance, it saw an opportunity to create something unprecedented. This special blend combines straight wheated bourbon and straight wheat whiskeys from 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2006 – with the 2000 vintage making up 3%, 2003 contributing 50%, 2005 adding 40%, and 2006 completing the final 7%. The wheat whiskey barrels were part of the experimental program that gave us treasures like the Single Oak Project, laid down by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley and his team. The Millennium, presented in a handmade crystal decanter, represents both the culmination of years of patient aging and a bold step into whiskey's future.
