VERY OLDE ST. NICK IMMACULATA BOURBON 2026 RELEASE
USA
We brought you Very Olde St. Nick's 40th anniversary release, the high-octane Immaculata, a few weeks ago, a "fantastic" bourbon, wrote the Robb Report, "for the bourbon bros, the whiskey nerds," and demand was so great that it just flew right out of here. So we did what we always do when you send us such a clear and emphatic message: we went back to the well to bring you more.
Today's offer is 4 revved-up, characterful bourbons from the meticulous maestros at VOSN, including more of the Immaculata, but also three others that do in the glass just what the Immaculata does.
In other words: they’re just as powerful and rich, just as distinctive and detailed.
Marci Palatella founded Preservation Distillery a decade ago with a simple, stubborn idea: to hunt down exceptional aged whiskey stock, wherever it happens to be, and blend it into something that no single distillery could produce alone. Backing that philosophy is a determination to run against the herd, to do things their own maverick way.
It's why VOSN whiskeys taste like nothing else out there, not even other whiskeys in their own line.
Straight Outta Bardstown is subtitled "Caramel Whiplash,” and boy is it ever what it says. Aged 11 years and at 129.4 proof, it hits like it promises, with rich caramel and vanilla up front, spiced cake trailing behind, and a finish so buttery and viscous it practically coats the glass on the way down.
Old Man Winter Cask Strength Single Barrel is the whisky equivalent of a comforting dessert on a cold winter’s day. "Skillet Cobbler,” they’ve dubbed it, and it’s as evocative as it sounds. Aged for 9+ years and at 114.8 proof, it serves up a panoply of vivid fruit, from apricot to peach to white grape, and all of it tangled up, and marvelously, with caramel and honey. The long finish just comes as an extra treat.
Superfreak, "Dark Chocolate Jungle” — aged 11+ years, at 114.4 proof — leans almost fudgey; it’s dark and dense in a way that coats the tongue, with a nuttiness that keeps surfacing underneath, giving definition and edge to the sweetness.
And then of course we have the Immaculata itself, back by popular demand: a blend of 19-year Kentucky bourbon, 10-year high-rye, and Preservation's own 8-year wheated pot-still whiskey, bottled at 118 proof and, per the Robb Report, "luxuriously rich and deep.” We love the antique leather note on the nose, and the salted praline and butterscotch on the palate, and the finish just lingers and lingers.
We always tell people, if you’re looking for whiskey with an actual point of view, Very Olde St. Nick is your brand. And these four reify that sentiment like no other.
You’ll need to move fast on these, folks. They for sure won’t be here for long.
