While 2012 was just the first vintage of the Ulysses, Christian Moueix has been dominating the wine world for decades with Petrus and Dominus. As you would expect, Ulysses is made with the same standards as Dominus, but displays a much more Pauillac-like character, with notes of crème de cassis, licorice, graphite and cigar box. In the last couple vintages the winemaking has continued to improve, showing off a more powerful side of Moueix.
