They don't get more bespoke, or more rare, than this.
A 22 Year Old Rum from Richard Seale of Foursquare, only 566 bottles of which exist in the world.
A 60 Year Old Single Grain Scotch from the late, great Carsebridge, laid down the year after the Beatles arrived in America.
And a 25 Year Old Rum from another much-lamented distillery, Caroni, the glory of Trinidad. Only 261 bottles are in existence.
All of these treasures — officially, Release Nos. 43, 42, and 41 — come from our good friends at The Last Drop Assembly, a consortium of six of the finest distillers, blenders, and all-around palates in the business. Tapping their vast network of sources to unearth hitherto unknown barrels and casks, they have crafted some of the most talked-about, most-coveted whiskeys, bourbons, rums, and tequilas in the world.
And they have absolutely, positively outdone themselves here, in serving up these spirits of uncommon depth, distinction, and maturity:
Release 43 — 22 Year Old Barbados Rum, with Richard Seale of Foursquare: This is new for Fall 2026, and there’s a reason that Barbados rum hounds have been circling its release for months. Seale is, for our money, the most exciting and exacting mind in rum today. Twenty-two tropical years does something to a spirit that decades in a cooler climate can't replicate. And what he has produced here is something more akin to Cognac, but in another sense has no real comparison and almost commands its own category. A slow-sipper of ineffable beauty and pleasure
Release 42 — 60 Year Old Single Grain Scotch, Carsebridge: Cask No. 160237 was laid down in November 1965. Finding a grain spirit that was given this kind of patience is the proverbial needle in the haystack. It opens evocatively, with coffee and baking spices arriving first, then clove trailing behind. On the palate, toasted almond and crème brûlée play with and against one another in wonderful ways, and you can feel the weight and authority of every one of those 60 years
Release 41 — 25 Year Old Caroni Rum, Trinidad: Caroni closed in 2003, a casualty of the island's declining sugar industry, and what few casks survived have only grown in mystique over the decades. This one marries two casks, distilled in 1997 and 1999. The perfume is all tropical fruit and white flowers — a familiar Caroni aroma — and then comes the palate, which is like nothing else we’ve ever sipped, now calling forth notes of papaya, now hibiscus, now green banana leaf … and then, on the long, sinuous close, a wisp of smoke
Release 40 — Extra Añejo Tequila: Created by Carmen Villarreal, the first woman to lead a tequila distillery and the newest member of The Last Drop Assembly, this extraordinary Extra Añejo is a study in patience and innovation. Drawn from three exceptional casks, two matured for ten years in ex-bourbon barrels and one rested for seven years in a Port pipe. The nose opens with toasted nuts, spiced oak, tropical pineapple, and vanilla, lifted by delicate notes of orange blossom and jasmine. On the palate, creamy dulce de leche and cooked agave give way to layers of plum, date, cinnamon, clove, and a subtle hint of green jalapeño skin, all carried on a foundation of floral sweetness and toasted oak. The finish is long, elegant, and beautifully balanced, capturing both the richness of extended aging and the vibrant character of agave.
Remarkably, across all 43 releases since 2008, The Last Drop has produced only approximately 15,600 bottles in total, a figure many distilleries would surpass in a small fraction of their annual production.
But that tiny number speaks to everything that The Last Drop is.
