The Story: Founded in 1817 by 'Blind' Captain Hugh Munro, a Napoleonic war hero, Teaninich stands unique among Scottish distilleries. In 2000, the distillery made history by becoming the only Scottish distillery to use a mash filter press instead of a traditional mash tun – a technological revolution that would forever change its production methods.
