STILL AUSTIN LIMITED EDITION CASK STRENGTH CERAMIC
STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

TEXAS, USA

WHY BUY:
The small-batch artisans at Still Austin took home Double Golds at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the 2025 Bartender Spirits Awards, and just in time for the holidays, they have released their Double Gold-winning Cask Strength Bourbon in a handsome, handcrafted ceramic bottle keepsake … and for only $68. This is a wallopingly strong bourbon (bottled at a grow-hair-on-your-chest 116 proof), with mid-palate depth and the long, sustained finish Still Austin is known for. A bourbon to savor, a bourbon to talk about, a bourbon to make memories with … and in a vessel that you’ll keep forever.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
What a 2025 these guys had: the Cask Strength Bourbon took a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, where the distillery collected two Double Golds in all. Its Cask Strength Rye was named Rye Whiskey of the Year, with a Double Gold, at the Bartender Spirits Awards. And the trade newsletter IMPACT named Still Austin a Hot Prospect, one of the fastest-growing smaller wine and spirits brands of the year. For a distillery still in its first decade, that's some pretty serious hardware to make space for on the shelf.

OUR TASTING NOTES:
Give it a minute in the glass before you go in, and you’ll be generously rewarded, we promise. The first notes are glorious, taking you from brandied cherries to muddled mint to cinnamon toast slathered with butter. The palate, though, is where it really shows its swagger. Here, you’ll find a wealth of associations, among them grilled peaches, warmed butterscotch, and the brown-sugar crust of a pecan pie. You might expect, at 116 proof, that it might burn a bit going down, but not at all; this is a well-tended experience, through and through. The finish bears a nice and gentle note of rye spice as it carries you on home.

THE BOTTLE:
The limited-edition ceramic bottle is handcrafted, and decorated with a snake winding through stalks of rye and corn: an homage to the Texas-grown grain inside.

THE STORY:
"No one said making whiskey was easy. But we decided to make it about as difficult as possible, because dammit, we like a challenge.” That's the philosophy driving these Texas mavericks, who went to Scotland to commission a 42-foot column still from the world's best stillmaker, then promised never to use any grains grown outside the Lone Star State, no matter how rare those grains might be. We love that commitment to the art, and to honoring their sources. That honoring extends to the artist whose work graces their bottles: nationally-renowned artist (and Austinite) Marc Burckhardt. And it extends, even, to Still Austin’s target audience: "the artists, the outsiders, and the ne'er-do-wells,” as the distiller puts it.

ABV:
58% (116 proof).

FUN FACT:
That Scottish-built column still stands 42 feet tall. In a city that prides itself on staying weird, Still Austin's centerpiece is a copper tower taller than many of the houses on the block.

OUR GUARANTEE:
As always, we only buy and source directly from the distillery to ensure pristine provenance. This ceramic edition is limited and timed for the holidays, so secure your bottle today!
