The finishing process alone sets this one apart: rare, tight-grain French Oak staves matured for three years and hand-selected using OakScan technology, a specialized evaluation method that ensures uniform quality, balance, and toast level. Its 11 years of aging in hand-selected barrels have created a rich and woven complexity. The nose opens with an elegant bouquet of warm baking spices, toasted oak, and caramelized sugar, and all of this elevated wonderfully with hints of dried fruit and leather. The palate reveals its French oak influence immediately: full-bodied waves of cinnamon toast, crème brûlée, and nutmeg that eventually give way to dark chocolate and charred marshmallow. The finish stretches on and on, a warming and smooth coda, with persistent notes of spice, honey-roasted nuts, and that lingering smoky sweetness that echoes the barrel's deep toast.
