MAISON F.E. TRIMBACH

ALSACE, FRANCE

Two 95-point beauties for less than $50/bottle? That's not a deal, friends — that's practically a steal.

Add to that the fact that they were both produced by Trimbach, one of the greatest houses in all of Alsace, France, maker of some of the most consistently rewarding whites to be found anywhere in the world — and well, now we're smack in the territory of "can't miss."

Maison Trimbach has been at it since 1626, perfecting its methods across thirteen generations to bring us wines that don't just speak of their terroir; they sing of it — loudly, and with full-throated power. Spend any amount of time at the gorgeously-tended vineyard or in the tasting room in Ribeauvillé, and you will hear, over and over again, the family watchword: "Balance, balance, balance. This is our philosophy of life, [and] also the daily quest of our team in our vineyards and in our cellar."

That word, balance, is all the more exciting when you consider the enormously intense and concentrated profile that Trimbach at its best delivers.

Here's Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate on the 2014 Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives, which it gushed over the dessert wine in its 95-point review: "opens with an intense, clear and concentrated nose of rose petals, spices and lemon confit. Concentrated, very piquant and stimulating, this is ... Gewurz with a gorgeous tannin grip."

It's also absolutely ready to open right now, as is the Riesling Alsace Sélection de Vieilles Vignes 2019, James Suckling awarded 95 points to this bone-dry white, calling it "rich, mouth-filling and highly structured, [with] a touch of exotic aromas (mangosteen!), but isn’t a jot too ripe or weighty. In fact, it has wonderful silkiness, in spite of the considerable mineral power at the imposing finish."

We've also reached deep into the Trimbach profile to bring you three more: their 93-point Pinot Gris Reserve Perseonelle from 2015 -- which came in at #55 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2017; their 93-point Gewurtztraminer Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre from 2012; and one ringer, a red -- their 92-point Pinot Noir Reserve Perseonelle, notable for both its delicacy and earthiness.

We're able to extend special Concierge Family pricing on all five of these exquisitely-crafted wines — but only for the next week, so hurry and secure yours today!
