Our Tasting Notes: Nosing this whisky is like stepping into an old-timey ice cream shop. A burst of Manuka honey and vanilla greets you, followed by lush waves of lemon butter candy, baking raisin bread, and candied orange peel. On the palate, the texture is gloriously thick and creamy, serving up a cavalcade of flavors – brioche, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sherbet, and coconut, with a hint of cinnamon. The Story: Though Glenmorangie's journey began, long, long ago, in 1843, in the Scottish Highlands, it's only in recent years, under Dr. Bill’s savvy, quirky guidance, that the distillery has truly flourished. With a Ph.D. in biochemistry and over three decades in the whisky industry, Dr. Bill brings a unique blend of scientific rigor and creative flair to his role. A Tale of Ice Cream was born from Dr. Bill's personal love for the frozen treat. "I've always had a sweet tooth," he confesses. "I began to wonder: could we capture the lavish flavors of an ice cream parlor in a single malt?" This seemingly whimsical question led to months of experimentation, resulting in a whisky that stands as a genuine first for Scotch production.

The Specs: To create A Tale of Ice Cream, Dr. Bill and his team selected Glenmorangie's first single malt aged in high-vanillin casks; married it with whisky matured in bourbon casks for added depth and complexity; and carefully balanced the blend to achieve the perfect harmony of sweet, creamy, and traditional whisky notes.

ABV: 46% (92 proof), non chill-filtered to preserve the full body and flavor.
