GLENFIDDICH GRAND CHATEAU 31 YEAR SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

LIMITED EDITION BORDEAUX WINE CASK FINISH

SPEYSIDE, SCOTLAND

Why Buy: Speyside meets Bordeaux, as a revered master, Glenfiddich, gifts us with one of the great single malts in its storied history, one that doesn’t just bear a massive age-statement (31 years) but also, thanks to a 9-year finish in red wine casks — a virtually unheard of length of stay in the industry — drinks with uncommon elegance and finesse. And because this is part of the distiller's highly exclusive Grand Series, it’s also a collector’s dream, with only 230 cases available nationally.

Our Tasting Notes: Seduces from the start, with a gorgeous, distinctive reddish hue — the first hint of its unique maturation. On the nose, a warm, cocooning vanilla opens to an array of fruity, floral notes (among them, beautifully ripe cassis berries) and piquant nutty aromas. The palate is every bit as indulgent and rich as you’ve just been primed for, but this is an expressive, complex richness: flavors of slowly caramelized cherries and apples entwine with an unmistakable warming spice and toasted oak. The finish is a testament to every one of its 31 years, and will stay with you long after you’ve set your glass down.

The Story: In the annals of Scotch whisky, few names resonate as profoundly as Glenfiddich. Founded in 1887 by William Grant, this Speyside distillery has been a beacon of innovation and quality for over a century. Glenfiddich — Gaelic for "Valley of the Deer” — was among the first to market single malt whisky as a premium product, helping to establish the category's prestige. The Grand Series, of which the Grand Château 31 Year is a part, represents Glenfiddich's commitment to pushing the boundaries of Scotch whisky. At the helm of this ambitious project is Malt Master Brian Kinsman, a man whose palate and blending acumen have become legendary in the industry. Kinsman, only the sixth Malt Master in Glenfiddich's history, brings a scientist's precision and an artist's creativity to his craft. His ability to envision how different casks will interact over time is akin to a chess grandmaster seeing moves ahead on the board.

What to Pair It With: Its complexity allows it to stand alone as a post-prandial sipper. But it also happens to make magic with an aged Comté cheese or a few squares of dark chocolate.

ABV: 47.6% (95.2 proof), and non-chill filtered to preserve full flavor and mouthfeel.

Fun Fact: Glenfiddich partnered with the renowned Swedish graffiti artist Andre Saraiva to bring his iconic stickman design to the Château packaging, marrying centuries-old whisky tradition with contemporary street art — yet another lure for the passionate collector.

Our Guarantee: As always, we only buy and source directly from the distiller, to ensure that your bottles arrive with pristine provenance. Secure yours today!
