* The 40-year (83.2 proof) spent 38 years lounging in ex-bourbon barrels before getting a first-fill finish, and it shows up with exotic spices, forest fruits, and Tahitian vanilla on the nose, then delivers dark chocolate and passion fruit on the palate like some kind of liquefied dessert tasting menu
* The 46-year (84.4 proof) was distilled on December 23rd, 1977, and opens with rich mangos and over-ripe bananas before segueing into fresh red berries and dark roasted Java coffe
* Last (but by no means least) there's the 50-year (95.8 proof), distilled in 1966 when an ambitious little outfit called the Beatles were still making albums, finished in a Tawny Port pipe, delivering a distinctive and engaging profile of ground coffee, toffee apple, and ginger
