The result?
A mash-up (pun intended) so seamless and sublime you wonder why no one thought to attempt it before.
The nose is intensely aromatic, with hints of cherries, oak, leather, molasses, and toffee. On the palate, the payoff from long-casking in bourbon barrels is evident from the start, in the way the vanilla notes not only round out, and deepen, El Tesoro's characteristic floral-and-fruit profile, but also the way they further elongate the tequila's already long line. You'll revel in the hints of sweet black berries, caramel, almonds, licorice, and coffee.
This is — as all El Tesoro tequilas are — 100% blue Weber agave, by wide reckoning, some of the finest agave in the world, grown as it is in the mineral-rich red soil of Jalisco, Mexico.
