If you don't know the wines of Domaine Thierry & Pascale Matrot, now's the time.

The star is indubitably on the rise for this Meursault estate, which, like many historic properties throughout the region, has had new life breathed into it by a younger generation of winemakers — in this case, sisters Elsa and Adèle Matrot. Prices that are reasonable now are almost certain to escalate, given the terrific run of wines they've had in recent years — 2019, in particular, was a banner vintage for Matrot, with their Puligny Les Chalumaux and Meursault-Charmes both winning plaudits from critics around the globe.

And our recent tasting of their 2020s confirms that their hot streak shows no signs of cooling down.

We are proud to be able to bring you four from that 2020 vintage, including their 95-point Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chalumeaux and their 93-point Meursault 1er Cru Blagny.

The seat of the estate, today, rests on what was once the sister's grandparents' home, which rests on some of the most extraordinary vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. The family took hold of the property in 1914, and over the years began developing and extending the estate. Throughout that time, they have been steadfast in their commitment to time-honored ways: to horse ploughs, to rigorous pruning, to long fermentations. What the sisters have brought, since taking over from their father Thierry in 2016, is their keenly honed palates, and a drive for producing truly world-class wine.

And that they have done.

Vinous raved about the 2020 Puligny Chalumaux 1er Cru in its 95-point review, citing a "well balanced" palate, "fresh and quite saline," and a finish that surprises and delights with its "nice persistence." Of the 2020 Meursault Blagny 1er Cru, it was almost equally enamored, awarding 93 points and writing: "Very vivacious and nicely delineated," "with a satisfying density towards the finish. ... Excellent."

Last but by no means least, we secured two of their reds: their 2020 Volnay Santenots 1er Cru, which Vinous praised for its "pliant tannins" and "fleshy" palate, and their 2020 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, with (per Vinous) "well-defined" "brambly red berry fruit that unfolds from the glass," a "well-balanced palate," and a "fresh, zippy finish. What more do you want from a Bourgogne Rouge?"

We think you're going to thrill to these wines as much as we do, and hope you'll be persuaded to hop on the bandwagon of a producer that, in vintage after wonderful vintage, does nothing but overdeliver.

We have limited allocations of each bottle, so hurry, please, to take advantage of this terrific offer!
