And this bottling just might be the best yet in this series. So much about this powerfully complex whisky wowed us, from the massive 31-year age statement, the oldest ever for a Crown Royal, to the 50 (count ‘em) different whiskies its makers have distilled and blended separately in order to craft this extraordinary bottling. The Bottling: A testament to careful maturation and blending expertise. The base spirit, distilled from a mash bill that includes the signature Canadian rye, has been patiently aged for over three decades in oak barrels. The extended aging process allows for deep extraction of flavors from the wood, while the cool Canadian climate ensures a slow, steady maturation that preserves the delicate balance of flavors.
