With a bevy of Cotes du Rhones and world-class Chateauneuf-du-Papes produced, including the rare Grand Clos, their 2016 Cuvee Reservee represents one of their top wines of the vintage. Impressively endowed, concentrated and powerful, the wine is produced from 50+ year old vines grown on galet stone covered soils in the Le Grand Coulet lieu-dit. Using whole bunch fermentation, the wine is vinified in 50% concrete and 30% steel vat and 20% large oak barrel. It is then aged for one year in 228-liter oak casks for 24 months. The cuvee is dense, rich and bursting with aromas of currants, crushed rocks and herbs. Bountiful flavors of black cherry, raspberry, cedar and spice are balanced by incredible structure and polished tannins.
