Every grape used is hand-selected, with vignerons making as many as 11 passes through the vineyard over two months of harvest to ensure that only the most perfect grapes are used.
The result of all this painstaking meticulousness?
Each vine produces but one glass of Sauternes a year.
The warm, dry summer in Bordeaux, in 2016, led to wines of both unusual ripeness and uncommon finesse. And this Sauternes, in coupling a remarkable concentration with an almost majestic structure, has proven itself to be not just one of the best in its class, but among the best in the entire show: an extraordinary star in a vintage of greats.
To speak briefly about transport (and now of the logistical kind, and not the metaphoric): bottles have been stored in the winery's cellar, and will be shipped directly to your preferred store from the chateau.
