“Bond. James Bond.” These were the words first coolly spoken by Sean Connery in 1962’s Dr. No, establishing an iconic franchise now spanning 25 films with the upcoming release of No Time to Die. Since 1979’s film Moonraker, Bond’s Champagne of choice has been Bollinger, and the iconic Champagne has made multiple appearances in the films—the upcoming film will be the 15^th. 2019 is a momentous year as it marks the 40^th anniversary of the Bond/Bollinger partnership as well as the release of the 25^th movie in the series; to commemorate these occasions, Bollinger has crafted a special limited-edition vintage bottling that enthusiasts of both Secret Agent 007 and this quintessential Champagne house will not want to miss.

This special edition is a first for Bollinger: a cuvée crafted solely from the historic Grand Cru vineyard Aÿ, where the Champagne house has been based since its creation in 1829. Using 100% Pinot Noir, this Blanc de Noirs is made exclusively from grapes grown in 2011, a vintage that Bollinger has never released before. The first fermentation takes place in small oak barrels averaging 20 years old, and the wine is then aged on the lees for more than seven years, making for a powerful yet elegant expression. Golden in color, the wine boasts aromas and flavors of honey, hard candy, and yellow apple elevated by striking minerality on the dry finish. With today’s Concierge Offer, the price falls to under $200 a bottle.
