This week’s Wine Spectator Insider, which dropped yesterday, featured high-scoring wines from around the world that may be difficult to find, but are worth seeking out. We happen to have two of them, both stunning Saint-Émilions from the 2020 vintage: Château Pavie and Château Monbousquet.

The publication was effusive in praise for the 2020 Pavie, awarding 96 points and describing its “stunning fruit, with loganberry, blackberry and boysenberry compote notes moving through steadily, carried by a deeply embedded chalk spin.” Of the 95-point Monbousquet, James Molesworth wrote “Everything stays in lockstep through the very long finish.”
