Did we hear you ask for an encore? When Russell Bevan returned to California in 1999 to pursue a career in winemaking, he had no formal winemaking education. But he trusted his vision and palate, and seemed to have a natural gift in the vineyards and winery; his first releases were unequivocally successful and clearly established a “Bevan style” that would quickly attract a diehard following.
