This will be a curious and somewhat different wine for many. It doesn't have a lot of that typical Douro depth or fruitiness, but it has plenty of acidity, superb structure and even a hint of tartness. Once acclimated to the differences this wine brings to the table, many tasters will love this silky and very fresh wine. It's a perfect food wine. The texture caresses the palate and lifts the fruit, which lingers nicely. It's not an easy wine to judge or benchmark, as there will no doubt be some very different opinions, but this has many merits. If acidity and elegance are your style, it's worth a look.
