Domaine d'Esperance 18 Year Armagnac

Domaine d’Espérance is located in the Sables Fauves region of Gascony, the most coveted area in the heart of Bas-Armagnac (the name alludes to the tawny orange-brown color of the dirt). The clay and iron-rich soil is instrumental in imparting this armagnac with elegance and aging potential. After a single distillation to ~53% abv on a traditional Armagnacais column still, the spirit was left to age in Gascon oak for between 18 and 29 years.
