2017 Domaine Coudoulis 'Cuvée Bacchus'

Flamboyant skeins of clove and smoke accent profoundly ripe plum and mulberry here. A 70-30 blend of Grenache and Syrah sourced from 50- to 60-year-old vines, it's a deeply penetrating, tannic wine lifted by cooling mineral undertones. It's hedonistic in its youth but should drink well through 2027.
