The nose is thick with bakeshop aromas: sponge cake filled with marzipan and thickly frosted with buttercream; butter pecan ice cream; and vanilla bean. It's consistent on the palate, but more complex, with roasted lemons, vanilla malt powder, milk chocolate, cinnamon candy, pie crust, and buttercream frosting. No deviation on the finish, which is pastry-rich and dessert-like, veering toward flan. Westport is a 'teaspooned' malt comprising mainly Glenmorangie with a bit of Glen Moray.
