Before you taste Athrú Knocknarea Whiskey, first take a moment to appreciate its light chestnut colour. On the nose, fresh orchard fruits, ripe peaches and pears blend with aromas of spring meadows. Pistachio and white chocolate bring a slight sweetness before deeper notes of cedarwood, sandalwood and pine needles. Athrú Knocknarea is intense and oaky, with rich, seasonal flavours of mince pies, brown sugar, dark caramel raisins and prunes. Dark chocolate brings a comforting warmth before the faint trace of zesty orange peel cuts through. Subtle traces of tobacco and cigar notes linger.
