Athru 14 Year Old Annacoona Irish Whiskey

Before you taste Athrú Annacoona Whiskey, first take a moment to appreciate its rich, amber colour. On the nose, Autumnal notes; dried flowers, mild oak, dark fruits - cherries, plums, blackcurrants, raisins, and dark melted chocolate. The subtle sweetness of marzipan, the hint of vanilla, and the zesty tones of orange oil and candied peel. The palate starts off with silky smooth salted caramel and honey which are complemented by candied peels, red grapefruit and mandarins. Cinnamon, cloves and ginger balance the sweet fruitiness and dark chocolate adds a richness. Faint traces of dried figs, dates and a subtle hint of oak add depth. Autumn in a glass.
