2013 Amadieu Pas de L'Aigle Gigondas

Deep ruby. Heady aromas of black raspberry, boysenberry and peppery spices pick up a subtle hint of potpourri with air. Sappy red and blue fruit flavors are enlivened by bright floral and white pepper nuances and a suggestion of smoky minerality. Shows excellent clarity and power on the gently tannic finish, which lingers with outstanding tenacity and resonating spiciness.
