Mannochmore Distillery is a young distillery hidden inside the grounds where the Glenlossie Distillery sits. Mannochmore was built in 1971 and shares a common water source with Glenlossie, the Bardon Burn. The distillery is known for the infamous Loch Dhu – a rich black whisky released in the 1990s which has now become a collector’s item thanks to its unusual appearance. This colour was achieved by aging the spirit in double-charred oak casks. Independent bottlings from the distillery are most rare, with the majority of the spirit produced on site now being used in a range of popular Diageo blends. Mannochmore provides a beautiful expression of the Speyside region, featuring little, if any, peat with notes of fruit and nut.A single cask, cask strength and un-chillfiltered expression from Mannochmore Distillery, matured in an ex-Bourbon Barrel."Alexander Murray & Co.
