18 years in a combination of Bourbon, re-fill and re-char casks, the whisky is then finished for a period of 4-6 months in French Red Wine Casks from Pauillac, Bordeaux. Stephanie MacLeod, Malt Master, carefully monitors maturation and flavour development in each cask until the desired flavours have been achieved. Aberfeldy’s wonderfully soft signature honey and creamy vanilla notes are invigorated with swathes of plush ripe cherries and lovely nutty aromas of toasted almonds to create an incredibly elegant and fruitful whisky. 43% ABV.
