2025 Egon Muller Scharzhofberger Riesling Kabinett

The 2025 Scharzhofberger Kabinett is an assemblage of several parcels and opens with a gorgeous bouquet of perfectly ripe mangos intertwined with gently flinty notes of crushed slate, fresh woodruff and blueberry leaves. Light but mouth-filling, this is an enormously saline, terroir-driven and filigreed yet intense Kabinett with a still-youthful astringency on the palate. This is a Kabinett that needs more time to develop than the delicate Le Gallais Braune Kupp Kabinett. Tasted as a sample at the domaine in March 2026.
