2025 Egon Muller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel

The white-golden colored 2025 Scharzhofberger Auslese (Gold Capsule) is pure, fresh and very intense on the concentrated yet subtle nose that shows ripe and lush stone fruit and candied lemon aromas intermingled with violet Riesling notes of overripe and botrytized berries, pineapple and crushed rocks. Intense and immediately saline and mouth-watering, with enormous salinity and laser-sharp crystallinity, this is a pure, tensioned, savory and even piquant Scharzhofberger Auslese that needs a decade or, even better, two or three to reveal its real character. This is a highly promising Riesling that combines precision with hedonism and is reminiscent of Eiswein in all its sharpness and concentration. This is AP 09 25.
