2025 Egon Muller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese

The 2025 Scharzhofberger Auslese is intense and generous on the concentrated and incredibly aromatic nose that is based on botrytized fruits and offers beautifully balanced saline intensity along with blueberry and leafy notes such as woodruff. Lush and seriously sweet on the palate, with honey and stewed stone fruit aromas as well as the fine salinity of the Scharzhofberg terroir, this is a hedonistic Auslese with a long, mouth-watering finish carried by the crystalline acidity and mineral flavors. This has a lot of energy and is a wine to keep for decades. Tasted as a sample at the domaine in March 2026.
