2023 Etienne Sauzet Corton-Chalemagne Grand Cru

The 2023 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from fruit purchased from three parcels in Aloxe, Pernand and Ladoix at the top of the incline. This has a lovely bouquet with finely delineated hints of lemon, popcorn and brioche. The palate is very well defined with impressive weight. Perhaps it doesn't quite have the nervosité of the finest Corton-Charlemagne as it dips its head too early on the finish. Drink this over the next decade or more.
