The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru, which Brice de la Morandière quipped was a "Grand Cru" (well, he does have grounds), has a succinct bouquet with lime, citrus peel and light flinty aromas that gradually unfurl in the glass. The palate is well balanced, cut from a similar cloth to the Les Combettes but with a slightly creamier texture. Perhaps it does not quite have the same "electricity" as the latter. This is long in the mouth, but juxtaposing the two cuvées I might err towards the Les Combettes.Neal Martin, Vinous
